Vacation Goal

Yes, I had a goal for this vacation, my first visit to Hawaii (thanks to The Foster & Stapko Families):

And, as I learn over and over and over in every education course and professional development class THE way to achieve goals is by establishing clear, measurable  performance objectives written in “academic language”.

Here goes:

Goal: Have the best time ever!!!!

Objective:

1. Clare Wiley will be able to (CWWBAT) maintain pale, whitefish skin tone by applying sunblock anytime I go outside into the sunlight; wearing protective layers often; and staying out of the sun 50-75% of the time.

Evidence of Mastery:

1. Upon departure from HI today, I am still as white as when I arrived 10 days ago. (Evidence: David said to me today at the Honolulu airport, “Everyone else looks like they are leaving Hawaii; you look like you just got here,” BINGO!!!)

2. This memory, made on the 8th day of said vacation:

Hawaii, Day 8. Still nice and pasty. This guy is a fantastic woodworker but he has no website! More info on that later! He made David and Sidney a special gift.

Hawaii, Day 8. Still nice and pasty. This guy is a fantastic woodworker at the Alamoana Swapmeet but he has no website! More info on that later! He made David and Sidney very special, handmade gifts!

(Okay, so maybe I am a little pink in this photo but wouldn’t you be if you were shopping outdoors in 84 degrees, 75% plus humidity, posing with this guy at the insistence of your very own husband!)

xoxo Clare
